Welcome to the West Central Coast District #1240
Welcome to the online home of the West Central Coast District #1240, connecting 12 Elks Lodges throughout California’s Central Coast and Ventura County.
WCCD1240.org is designed to make District information easier to find, help our Lodges stay connected, and provide a central place to share the meetings, events, programs, history and good works happening throughout West Central Coast.
Your District Resources — All in One Place
The foundation of the WCCD website is now in place, with resources members can use today.
District Directory
The current 2026–2027 West Central Coast District Directory is available online in PDF format for WCCD members.
The directory is password protected because it contains information intended for members of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. If you need the password, please contact your Lodge Secretary.
We also have a searchable online District Directory that allows members to locate officers, committee chairs and other contacts across all 12 Lodges using specific search terms.
District Calendar
Stay current with meetings, visitations, District Deputy Clinics, conventions and other important WCCD dates through our dynamic District calendar.
The calendar includes regular Lodge meetings along with District, California-Hawaii Elks Association and Grand Lodge events, and calendar entries can be saved to members’ own devices.
Our 12 Lodges
West Central Coast District #1240 is made up of 12 Lodges, each serving its own community while sharing in the mission and programs of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
Our Lodge Directory provides addresses, phone numbers, email contacts and website links to help members connect throughout the District.
District News
There is a tremendous amount of good work happening throughout West Central Coast.
Our District News section gives Lodges another place to share community service projects, youth programs, Veterans activities, scholarships, CHEMPI and Purple Pig efforts, Elks National Foundation programs, Ritual, District events, celebrations and other accomplishments.
Whenever possible, WCCD1240.org can also highlight stories already published by individual Lodges and link readers directly back to the Lodge website.
12 Lodges. One District. Stronger Together.
Every Lodge in West Central Coast has its own traditions, personality and connection to the community it serves. What brings us together is a shared commitment to Elkdom and to making a difference in the lives of others.
This website gives us an opportunity to see more of what is happening beyond the walls of our own Lodges.
A successful project in one Lodge can inspire another. An upcoming event can reach members throughout the District. A community-service story can show others what Elks are accomplishing every day.
When we share those stories, we strengthen the entire District.
Our District Has a Story
The West Central Coast District did not begin with the twelve Lodges we know today.
Its organizational roots reach back to California Elkdom’s early District structure. The West Central District was created in 1938, and in 1967 it was divided to create the new West Central Coast District.
WCCD began with six Lodges:
San Luis Obispo #322, Santa Barbara #613, Ventura #1430, Santa Maria #1538, Lompoc #2274 and Paso Robles #2364.
As communities grew and District boundaries evolved, West Central Coast eventually became the 12-Lodge District we know today.
Our History section explores that story, including the growth of the District, the creation of additional Lodges, WCCD traditions and several historical questions we are still working to document.
Help Us Tell the Story of WCCD
The website infrastructure is here. The next chapter depends on participation from throughout the District.
We encourage every Lodge to share its events, accomplishments, photographs, community-service projects, member recognition, youth activities and other news so that WCCD1240.org can reflect the full life of West Central Coast District.
Lodges should continue using their own websites, newsletters and social media channels. The District website is another opportunity to amplify those stories, connect our Lodges and help members discover what is happening throughout WCCD.
We also welcome corrections, historical material, photographs, programs, newsletters and other information that can help us keep the site accurate and preserve the history of the District.
To share information or report a correction, contact the WCCD Webmaster at wccd1240@gmail.com.
